A multi-cuisine restaurant in the finest sense of the word, ZAD is located inside the Bank Muscat Head Office in Seeb.
In a short span of two years, Zad has become tremendously popular for its delicious meals and a friendly ambience. Founded and designed by Newrest Wacasco, a joint venture of Newrest Group and the OMZEST Group, Zad is comprehensive and exceptional in its attention to every detail of its operation and high standards of quality.
Who said lunches have to be boring? This restaurant oozes Arabesque flamboyance. According to Fabien Revol, General Manager, Newrest Wacasco, each element of décor represents an aspect of the Sultanate. “The colours of the restaurant’s doors as well as the chairs are inspired from the Sultan’s palace in Muttrah; the lights take their shape and form, inspired by the Grand Mosque and the idea of the silk wall is inspired from the fabrics stores one sees in the old souk. Even the concept of sheer curtains that create a feeling of intimacy is something that makes Arabic culture its muse.”
